@nebelstern I agree. I really hate that this is what we have to do for a living. But I'm alive, and I'm glad to be... and should it be required, I have to protect my homeland.

Using Vietnam is old school, use the war of the gulf as a reference instead, Afghanistan was just a poor attempt to shift a countries political views and instate a puppet government, if you want actual combat failures just look at the Soviet union

Afghanistan is a cursed battlefield, it doesn't count XD Furthermore, even the Taliban is struggling against rebels.

Russia's ground military is actually more powerful than US. Also when combined with Russian winter... but honestly... US navy is not something to mess with.

Even if you rout the US, it wouldn't be enough. They can recover. Bringing war to north-american shores is suicide

@swadian You'll have to forgive me, but Russia is a necessity if we are ever to get our cultural independence. At least they don't care how we handle our culture.
