Well the israel experiment was a big deal. Because they saw how much the efficacy drops after 6 months. Israel basically stepped up as a Guinea pig. They cant really just push out a 3rd booster to everyone when we still have people opposing it. So they will give it to 65 and older who are more likely to get it. I havent seen many old people against this vaccine mainly cuz it affects them. So they will use old people as Guinea pigs here and then once thats ok they give it to everyone.

I feel the booster was always part of the plan, the CDC vaccination card has slots for more than one shot. My shot clinic here on base dropped a sign with info on it about a couple weeks back saying "booster shot vs third dose" this was before mandatory vaccinations for all military personnel by Oct 1st. I mean i know we sound like conspiracy theorists but it isnt adding up.

The booster is just the same dose again, yeah? Not really guinea pigging. They're working on different versions, but that shouldn't be what they're referring to.

I assume the booster they mean now is is that 3rd shot. But i dont feel that will be the case moving forward. Reason being is its very hard to convince people to continuously come in for a shot every 6 months. This might be a stopgap for now. But yeah all the shots have been the same. When they ask if you had your first or second dose and stuff like it doesnt matter what you get its the same shot. The only problem is when you mix doses from other companies. To which i ask what changes? What between the doses is different?

I think the issue with mixing is lack of data. They have no reason to believe there would be an issue, but there's less data there to evaluate and develop a solid recommendation on. Probably not a lot of financial incentive for anyone to fund such research either.

My doctor's office just sent out a notice today talking about boosters vs a third shot. (below) Boosters are not the same as 3rd doses for certain immunosuppressed patients.
