I have kept tabs on them since the days Gavin McInnis was in charge. They started off as a patriotic group that was focused on screwing around. Post McInnis they were basically a group that responded to ANTIFA riots. They basically show up, beat up antifa, then they get beers after. Really haven't seen any sort of "white supremacist" activities from them.

@dyadka_yar well someone on here said they were white supremacists. I held my tongue because i thought proud boys meant trump supporters but i guess they are separate groups? I looked on the wiki and it did say white supremacists. But o dont think thats the case. I think its just another form of media propaganda. Anyone patriotic is considered a nazi nowadays XD another "fact" a user on here told me seeing as the germans invented it (which wasnt true) But im curious because i have been watching the gun market and it has been going off since last year. Guns out of stock for literal months, uptick in ammo as well. As a first time gun buyer myself i think there is something bigger here. Idk about those militia groups but with the way this administration has handled things i dont see them being able to control things for long at this rate.

Not saying thats a call to arms by any means i dont wanna be pinpointed as an extremist or anarchist. I just feel like the government havent been on their P's and Q's lately so anything can happen. All ot takes is one straw to break the camels back and they have been dropping stacks on that poor camel. So like we will see. With the state of places around the world, france, australia, canada. You could see some big stuff world wide.

@hell_hound7 Well it started off when Gavin was making fun of a men's choir and called his group the "proud boys" in mockery. Basically they waved patriotic flags of their respective nations and drink beer. Antifa started to attack them due to patriotism, Proud Boys decided not to back down and beat them up in return. This is when Gavin decided to leave since he didn't want to be held legally liable for what may or may not happen. Enrique Tarrio would take the helm and rebranded them as an anti-antifa force. What may surprise people is they are anti-police, but not for the reason people would expect. Long story short, in places like Portland, Oregon the police would do nothing against antifa. The police would selectively arrest people, avoiding arresting antifa rioters. So the Proud Boys took it upon themselves to fight against antifa. They are a symptom of a system that refused to apply the law fairly.

@umi_nezumi nothing bad will happen to her, trust me. At most she will be handed some paperwork potentially demoted worst case scenario, but she wont be kicked out. Getting kicked out the military is the most easiest yet hardest thing to do. We have seen dudes who have cheated on their significant other multiple times with people they are in charge of and not get kicked out. But the person they cheated with gets kicked out. I just dont know dude. Its not so much a military policy thing, but up to the discretion of the person in charge of them thing. Dudes smoke weed and get kicked out but also get kept if they are an outstanding worker. @dyadka_yar well yeah i assumed they are anti-police alot of right winged people are starting to turn away from the thin blue line mentality. The police will obviously side with the majority in cities like Portland. Its either do that or get cancelled i mean look at Derek chauvin. Did his job and got a life sentence.

But to clarify on the military thing the reason why she wont get in trouble but the marine commander who spoke out will is because she is just a grunt. She holds no power and what she said can be twisted as "all enemies foreign and domestic" making regular citizens out to be terrorists in the case of Marshal law. Where as the Marine commander spoke out against his leadership. Which has been known to get many in trouble as they represent the military. Also since they are a leader what example does thst set for those under him? The military rank structure is just weird. People go to college do a little ROTC and suddenly hold the ability to determine if someone might be able to make it home to their family. Which in the case of Afghanistan 12 wont. Thats why he spoke up and thats also why he will be punished. The higher up you go the harder it is to see the ones at the bottom. Learned that the hard way speaking to a 2 star general who told me my job and my stuggles mean nothing compared to those deployed. Then i deployed, and still think my struggles were warranted.

I have a decent understanding of the military hierarchy and how they operate. I have a handful of friends and family that are involved in the army and marines. If it gets too much attention something could still happen, but she didn't really say anything incorrect, and the attitude is very much the demeanor of the average military grunt.

My biggest worry with the military is, i dont think this way. I would never turn a gun on my fellow American. Not unless i perceive them to be a traitor to the state or an actual terrorist. But simply because one does not comply with the demands of the government i just dont think i could shoot them. But do others think this way? Thats what worries me the most. Also yeah the military rank structure does not actually promote good leaders. I have seen many decent human beings leave the force because someone toxic drove them to it. Seeing people rejoice and celebrate their last day before separation makes me sad. The military is awesome and i wish i had the power to change it but sadly unless i work on Capitol hill we are doomed to stay this way. Boot camp promotes pride and confidence in the military. Bad leaders destroy it.
