Oops, forgot to hit refresh. My bad.

I'm not sure if any of you have heard, but great news for 2nd amendment appreciators. A judge recently ruled that California's "assault weapons ban" was unconstitutional. If the ruling stands, it may be precedent for all states to lose any AWB they wrote. \(≧▽≦)/

You're confusing the scientific method with critical thinking. Although critical thinking can be part of the scientific method. The scientific method is an iterative method that requires the formation of a hypothesis. Experiments for said hypothesis. Analysis of the data. Formation of a conclusion. Finally, publishing the results. Each step is required for the scientific method. The put it simply. The anarchist wasn't performing experiments on liberals or conservatives. He simply read some studies and reasoned his way from there. That is just reasoning, then coming with your own conclusion. Reasoning and/or critical thinking alone is not sufficient for it to be considered the scientific method. The scientific method is a lot more rigorous then just reasoning or critical thinking.

@chocopyro idk if i called him a leftist or not, but i dont think people on the right are gullible. If anything i think they are weak. Not because they are easily tricked into believing misinformation but because they are afraid. Afraid of cancel culture, afraid they lose their job to speak out, afraid they are targeted. Alot of them, myself included are weak. Gullible? No, that would mean after the dems had judges dismiss our cases in court we would have given up. But some of us didnt, it was those people who held their party on their back. Some like Marjorie Taylor green. Who was ultimately stripped of some of her powers for speaking out. So no i dont agree. If you were a true anarchist you wouldnt defend a side openly trying to oppress and suppress you. Our side is trying to liberate america, and while not totally joining the side of anarchism they are willing to take action against the parties responsible.

@mountain_tiger yeah i saw that, that could be a huge for Californians. But idk if California will be around for long, i hear the water situation there is getting pretty rough.
mountain_tiger
@hell_hound7 Not just huge for Californians, but huge for every state in the USA with an AWB. I'm not surprised about the water situation, I think California has to import water from other states to sustain it's population. o7

@hell_hound7 The devil is in Both parties. The left are just more critical of their leaders. And for fucks sake, I'm a former anarchist, and even if I still hold a lot of their philosophies, I've made it abundantly clear that I swing more institutional libertarian these days. And I still hate both parties, I just hold leftist views. I'm stuck here playing devil's advocate for the libs because they consistently look at the data, and realize that the establishment on both sides fucking sucks. While YOU GUYS are just putting on the boots and marching on whatever straw men they throw in front of you! All the shit you guys make up verses the shit we have on them? "Oh, the emails!" Bitch, try the private prisons. Oh, but your party doesn't want you talking about the private prison industry, because they have their side hustle in it too! And that's why America has more prisoners per capita than even the most authoritarian regimes these days. Voter suppression! The establishment dems are experts in the field during the primaries. So naturally you think that they cheated the entire 2021 elections! But none of their tricks work in the main election. That's always what the republicans excel at. @a1ephy Actually, I did mean scientific method. You know what conflict theory is, right? Applying the scientific method to conspiracy theories. That's literally all it is. None of the marxist shit needs to touch it. Just use the process. And you look at a situation from as many angles as possible, confirm what assets are actually on the board, how they are moved by both parties, and to who's benefit. Who financially backs them, and what's their incentive. https://i.pinimg.com/originals/bc/a1/b3/bca1b301527dc40c0da420126459a648.jpg Of course the starting point is always the same. Make an observation, like "Boy, these bohemian grove people sure have seem to have a lot of power!" Then you do the research, and you come up with a theory. Though by the time you get done with the research, you probably have millions of BS and misinfo to sort through. This is sadly where most modern conspiracy theories come to an end. A figure head just hoists it up and they just buy it as fact. For example, look at this guy's laughable attempt at speaking spanish, then listen to what hey says after turning back to the camera. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sOSdjEuwk4U Meanwhile you have the extended footage here, and boy, this former Argentinian is sure having a hard time with that second interview. You don't need to listen to him though. Just watch the news clips and draw your own conclusion. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bZC4C6dkSAs Back on topic though. What happens when you test the theory? Well, we have more than a million bad faith whistle blowers on both sides, so what do we just take their word for it? So how do you really rigorously test a conspiracy theory? Well, as a rule of thumb, If it can't be done, just abandon it. You can't go around chasing moon men and reptilians, no matter how many grainy youtube videos you watch. But the conspiracies that are closer to home? Those are the ones you should be looking into. Look at info in the public domain. Like your leader's voting records. Because in Bush conspiracy theories? More often than not, the lines between republican and democrat blurred. And I assure you, that's still the case, as they constantly try to keep us divided by playing their parts in political theater and continuing to get literally nothing done for a good 12 years.

Republicans can cheat in the elections....riiiiight thats how we won 2020 election by cheating. Oh wait we didnt win. This is how i know the dems are the ones who are gullible. Everyone ran with the story trump colluded with russia up until the point he was found innocent and the dems were conspiring against him and even after they were outted they still claim he cheated in 2016 election. Meanwhile trump won electoral votes but lost in terms of popular vote in 2016. Ok cool, call it BS if you want. But he had way more votes tthis go around than he did in 2016 and still fucking lost. Not only in popular vote but in electoral vote as well? Does no one even find that remotely weird? Ok lets chalk it up as more people went out to vote than before. You mean to tell me after nearly half a million deaths biden managed to gain more votes than obama did. Really? No one os more critical about their own party than the Republicans we hold each other accountable. Like mitch McConnell most Republicans hate him. But when Democrats like Maxine waters outright say to riot if we dont get what we want. Everyone ignores it? You can say both sides are evil and you are absolutely right but the greater evil here is the democratic party.

Hillary won the popular vote by only a few million. Which is actually not a lot. Thats just a single city worth of people. And in all honesty, regardless of what side they are on, shouldnt trust any politician at face value
hell_hound7
Im gonna be honest trump played this whole situation wholeheartedly fucking as stupid as possible. Yes his administration was basically braindead during covid. We can see this today with fauci, which he got most of his advice from and paid the price. He didnt do anything about the media slandering him mainly cuz he liked it, he liked the attention and in the end it came back to bite him. When he was losing in the elections rather than wait until everything was over he starts yelling out fraud fraud. And got all his cases dismissed instantly. But now everything has been reopened months after he left? He got played like a fiddle so maybe thats what you mean by gullible. Even i can agree, he basically set himself up for failure. But i believe even after all that he legitimately won. Maybe had he not done thes other things he would have had a better chance to fight this.
