Even without race it's a stupid argument. it's assuming criminal behavior is the default state of being. It also ignores the fact a vast majority of countries don't give their police guns and they still are able to stop crime.

If someone breaks into your house they're not looking to share a tea with you, also give me an example of a country that doesn't give it's cops guns and have low crime rates.
