i wanna try and debate that the wage gap between genders is a real issue, but i need to do some more research before i can confidently defend the stance it centers around not the fact that women are paid less for the same jobs, but that women are pushed into lower paying jobs and why these jobs are paid less

Imma use an example someone else said: "If women are paid less why not hire only women?" Its logical, if you pay men more why not hire just women and save money.

"Women earned a median of $891 weekly in 2020, while men earned $1,082" women make less then men. there are multiple factors as to why (including pregnancy leave and the such) so its a very complicated topic that id need to fully research before i can confidently engage in a debate regarding it, but id really like to in the future when i find time to do said research

Weren't like 60% of the casualties from last year's Covid-19 layoffs women? (ʃ⌣́,⌣́ƪ)

my guess is because women tend to work social jobs like receptionists,and obviously that isn't a good occupation to have during a pandemic
