I don't think UBI is the solution. It would likely just lead to the gradual devaluation of money and if the rewards are "phased out" based on income, it would just make people reluctant to better themselves. If the money is truly universal regardless of income, then it just becomes redundant in that we're giving money to upper class individuals that don't need assistance. I'm of the opinion that if the government should provide anything, it should provide materials rather than capital. Clothing, food, housing, and training should be the focus of any poverty relief program I think, taking inspiration from Sun Yat Sen's concept of Minsheng. Rather than simply giving money to people, there should be a focus on first giving them the means to survive, then giving them the educational tools necessary to gain independence. I think people would also be more inclined to support such a program if they believed their tax dollars were going towards something they perceive as "productive" rather than "subsidizing laziness". o7

The Suez Canal incident might be benefical for us BRs. Although our meat exportations with China is impaired, I just assume our meat prices will lower because of that. Meat is costly these days.
