Why does love hurt so much?

So uh I lost the girl I love for reasons I can't really say and she was the best thing to ever happen to me but now I want to die, she's a nice sweet girl that lives in San Bernardino California, her birthday is August 23rd when we wanted to say I love you we would say boop, I say all this because I also hope she sees this one day my name starts with an S but it's not my real name it's been 6 or 7 months since we last talked and we didn't leave each other on bad terms she just couldn't stay anymore I don't know if she still loves me or not but I still love her with all my heart I will forever like this is my problem I can't get over her I spend most of my nights waiting to see if she comes back somehow I cry myself to sleep everynight thinking about the time we spent together it was a long distance relationship but we made it work I honestly think that I won't be able to love again after this my heart truly belongs to her forever this pains me so much just talking about it I really hope to see her again because my life is FUBAR without her so if you have any opinions or advice then pls tell me thank you.

Shes gone and girls forget you after that amount of time so you need to get other thoughts in your head and get over it sadly.

it hurts because you care, also I agree with @laffantion, just move on. Also, try not to get in a long-distance relationship, unless you know it's serious you're just gonna get hurt more.

Care? Nah. You're only thinking about what you want. Clearly it didn't work and that's ok. Guess what? You'll find love AND heart ache again, I guarantee it. Here's what ya do, find hobbies, make friends and above all else, don't sit and dwell. I get it, though. It took me the better part of two years to get over the first woman I truly loved. Guess what? Eventually you wake up and realize it wasn't some perfect fantasy and ya'll aren't together for probably a multitude of very good reasons. Live and learn.
