CRTs Must Return!

Well to put it simply when I first switched over the hdtvs I noticed how bad older stuff looked on them. That is quite simply because older media like VHS tapes and retro games were made with CRTs in mind so putting them on a screen that they were not intended for actually ruins the visual quality. Sure you can get devices like upscalers and put better output signals to them to make it look closer to what it used to look like but the old tube still offers the best image. Not to mention those old bubbled glass screen with scanlines used to add a bit more depth to the image which is now lost on hdtvs, though the curved hdtvs kind of replicate that depth but not the same as the original.... But as a retro game enthusiast... yeah CRTs for life. Though I will admit I use mine sparingly since I don't want it to break XD Otherwise I use a scaler called the frameister, which is now discontinued I think? It cost me a pretty penny years ago!

Also might I add, I really hate how the screen blacks out whenever the resolution changes on an hdtv while on crts it is a seamless transition!
