How is the establishment "maintaining the status quo "seem very ambiguous and loaded"? I gave you specific examples. The DNC making up superdelegates as a trump card to elect whatever candidate they want for the democratic party. The DNC tries to maintain the status quo by controlling the democratic process. A lot of the Media is also part of the establishment. As the media pick and choose whatever candidate that fits a certain mold for the status quo. Lobbyist running up to Washington to maintain the endless wars. The Endless wars are part of the status quo and therefore part of the establishment. Politicians are also part of the establishment. As politicians accept donations from their donors and maintain the status quo of endless wars. Just deconstruct the word establishment. It is rooted in the word establish. Establish means a "set up (an organization, system, or set of rules) on a firm or permanent basis." An establishment can good, bad or neutral. An establishment is the way things are. The establishment seeks to keep the way things are. As another example: A communist in a capitalist country would be anti-establishment, because the communist is opposed to the established capitalist system. On the other hand. A capitalist in a communist country would be anti-establishment, because the capitalist is opposed to the established communist system. @momoichi

Last I checked. Biden was running for office, not his son. Kinda seems like a nonsense political controversy from the right.

@alephy ok so when i say "is ambiguous and loaded' I'm talking morally loaded words. so selfish isn't necessarily a bad thing, but because its morally loaded people think its an insult immediately. that's what I'm saying. when people say hes anti-establishment you can not say they arent saying it as a compliment, as if that's inherently a good thing. that is my point. the communist thing just proves my point further, that it is not a compliment.

tbh thats a stupid decision theyr only locking down for a month, if your doing the lock down you have to keep it up until numbers actually go down or its futile look at new zealand, they did a huge, long ass lock down and while yes, their gdp went down, it is now going back up quickly because the cases are pretty much gone now there right? meanwhile countries like ours are suffering because of this while other countries are going back to normalcy

it's just heartwarming that ppl can actually come together and work as a community. it makes me envious more than anything

and yeah new zealand seems like a pretty chill place. i wouldn't mind being let in the country and not back into the US until all this blows over >_<
