2020 US Presidential Election

manufacturing and local jobs are literally the only thing i can think of, and i guess this is where i lack knowledge, but as far as rehabbing these jobs again isn't that not a federal issue and a local one for your senators to worry about?

Hey, I went to a McDonalds in flint like right before the pandemic and it was very nice. I made sure to drink extra water from the bathroom sink =p But fr it is wild. I know people who's skin on their chest and hands just like rotted away from showering in that shit. Like it's been a shit show for quite some time now

It is true that the electoral college is not completely democratic. Abolishing it is not a bad idea. The electoral college over time will completely tip in favor to democrats. With demographic shifts in Texas. It is only a matter of time before Texas turns blue. When exactly that will happen is anyone's guess. But it will happen within my life time. Once the Republicans loose Texas. The entire republican party will be dead in the water. It is almost impossible for a republican presidential candidate to win the presidency without Texas.

the population is turning more democrat/liberal in general, but right now we would win every election if we used popular vote i just genuinely don't know why we need the electoral college, and thew only excuse i hear is 'so rural states wont be ignored' but they still are under this method as well republicans only manage to win despite the majority of the population being democrat is thanks to heavy handed gerrymandering and other shady tactics like fear mongering and voter suppression the republican party is against the social things the population wants (the drug war to end, abortion rights, socialized healthcare, more social programs), and is factually bad for the economy i don't see why any logical person would vote republican, 0 upside to their party

we need the republican party gone and split the parties into democrats and progressives that way the country can actually progress without being held down by evangenicals and backwards thinking that cause this country to regress

It is true that democrats could win by popular vote. Hillary Clinton actually won the popular vote. But in the long run. With the popular or without the popular vote. It won't matter. Texas will turn blue eventually. RIP

we need more than just texas, iowa is meant to be a really important state right? and that's just how societies go, they get more progressive with time, which is why the republican party is slowly shrinking

Well, you aren't exactly the most logical one too Lamby. You often argue based of emotions. Emotions can be quite illogical at times. As far as anyone voting for Republican. I'm sure big business owners would vote for Republicans. As the taxes for big business would be lower. Big business would logically vote for their own self interest. Hence vote Republican. So don't generalize to anyone. As they're are reasons to vote Republicans. It just depends on what you personally value and what are your own self interests.

It is extremely unlikely that Texas will flip under this election. Iowa is a swing state and Texas is currently not a swing state. Iowa is currently more important electorally. But for the long run. I'm talking decades. Texas is more important. Texas has a bigger population then Iowa. Texas has more electoral votes then Iowa. If Texas ever flips. Iowa would be the least of the Republican's worries.
