@momoichi, I'm just happy my brother now sees why "Defund the police" is a good thing after a really long talk earlier today. I noticed, at least with my family, if you show them that there are more than just two extreme options, the middle ground is actually very sensible. I found this to be the best way to talk sense to these people. My ex's family thought I was a Democrat for a about year until I went into a rant about how I don't like Trump or Hilary. They were Republicans as well. @verucassault, There is no way to describe the job of a lobbyist without making it sound like corruption. But it's somehow still allowed. (By somehow, I mean money. It's because of money) I have a friend who is one, and even she admits that even the best lobbyists are still walking a tight ethical line.

ugh i hate the slogun of 'defund the police' xD because in most areas the police need MORE funding for better training xD have you shown them 8cantwait? now that is the perfect police reform plan

@momoichi, Yep, that was the brought up as a middle ground option. I'm not against the cops. But we don't need a local military force and we need more social workers or crisis intervention teams. If we could pull them off of the jobs that other qualified professionals could perform, maybe we can have them focus on the 38% of murders, 66% of rapes, 70% of robberies, and 47% of aggravated assaults go uncleared every year.
