I really wish people would take a look at 3rd parties. Not just thinking that they would win, but that they are at least voting for what they believe in.

i disagree, i think we need to look at things pragmatically first and foremost if we scatter the vote then the party that secondarily aligns with your beliefs will have no chance plus the biggest third party factions are the libertarians for rights and green party for lefts but the republican party already advocates for smaller government and the democratic party already advocates for climate change

^^ NICE! Scattering the vote is the point. My belief is that we use our one vote to vote for the party that best represents you voice instead of giving a concession for a win. Consigning to a secondary party is surrendering your voice and representation to people who are not aligned with your views. *Edited: I didn't like my wording here. Sure, the Libertarians is an option for the right and the Green party is for left. But what about unaligned moderates, which has grown to the mid 40% of eligible voters. We have a beautiful kaleidoscope of around 65 different political parties, yet we keep aligning to the same 2 party grey scale. True, the Republicans does advocate for smaller government and Democrats advocate for climate change. But the Progressive Bull Moose Party advocates for both while the other two hate-jerk each other off.
