where do you think terms like "grow some balls" "man up" "stop being a little pussy" come from? they all are used to almost exclusively attack men and they all are about not showing weakness or emotion

as someone who has suffered from depression because i couldn't express my emotions or have a way out of my issues, i would have rather been able to express my emotions or my thoughts.

im not talking clinical depression, im talking if someone calls you a mean name or you lose a family member times when normal people would cry men often times feel like they cant/shouldnt

That's very stressful. Men are always expected to be strong and hide emotions. Even in hard times, "real men are not supposed to cry".

Men ugly cry. It's because by the time they allow themselves to cry they've held it in so much they become snotty and sobby. I imagine it hurts them to experience such a wide range of feelings and sensations that they typically avoid.

Tbh Most women find the a men who care too much is unattractive which is big loss... See the problem

idk about statistics ir anything but im happy to see my bf cry (out of context that sounds horrible xD), because i know its the first step to healing
