is n't d8 invalid cause you have to move the king always to a safe square where the opponent can't take the king with their next move....orelse it is the same as not moving the king when the king is in check

Well, in atomic chess, it's not invalid to move to a square that is in indirect atomic check. Only direct checks are invalid to move. The movement rules of atomic chess are same as normal chess ^^
