Well that was her first death in the Petelguese arc. Remember she was sliced up with Ram. However I think holding onto someone's severed hand is more impactful than simply looking at a shredded corpse.

A plot hole i saw tho was the building falling apart and then the hand thing. Because the hand wasnt cut after the building as show in the escape scene. Seing as petra was still inside i think. As well as subaru being flung inside the building in order to be able to get to betty

To be honest that whole scene with the room getting destroyed honestly made no sense. I could not follow anything that was going on.

Yeah i honestly felt that could have been left out. Instead of the whole subaru is dazed and we are making an escape but get attacked and he has a hand in his hand. Just have building collapse he sees the hand and walks around until elsa finds him
