I found tampons and menstrual cups relatively rare here. Most women prefer pads to tampons/menstrual cups. For younger women, there has traditionally been a fear that tampons will break the hymen. Also we lack the tampons culture and education. Also some careless women may forget to take it out...(it occurred to me a post I read on Zhihu..)
