Anonymous Confessions ~The Return~

I know I'm really late to the party, but I confess that it made me incredibly sad to see all the troubles a simple sentence caused. My side of the story: I've known Gangsta Baby for a while now. We talk a lot and whenever one of us doesn't feel good, we try to help each other out where that is possible. Yesterday she seemed rather upset, so I posted a hug on her page. She replied with the Dutch words for "I love you". This in no way suggested to me a confession of love. Years ago I used to be a very closed off person. It took me a long long time to be able to tell anyone I loved them. I've learned how to be more open about that. My best friends know I love them, my parents know I love them, my sister knows I love her and even my exes know I love them. None of them think I am in love with them and even if they did, they would be wrong. I'm not so much sad for myself, because frankly, I'm a grown-up and I have had worse. Sometimes I am worried I don't care enough about myself to care about such things. It does however hurt me that this has upset Gangsta Baby at a time she was already upset at. Summary: she is a good friend and she tries hard for her friends, but of course she isn't perfect. Hell, sometimes she doesn't reply to me for an entire day. However, she does not deserve the hostility and the suspicion many people treat her with. And to end this discussion once and for all: we are not in love. It feels kind of childish to have to say this, honestly
