252 251 here again. No she might have had a really invasive mother. She mentioned that she was not going to college due to not wanting to leave her mom. I tried but she is sheltered alot.

@Rei I agree and disagree with that. It isn't good to be overally conscious and controlling what your children does, yes. But saying that it leads to rebellious kids isn't right either, unless you mean generally. If you mean generally, then, yes, I completely agree with you.

rebellion takes many forms. I know people that had super religious parents and they'd be sheltered from things, so when they wanted to try those things, they'd lie to their parents. If you ever want your kids to tell you the truth and be open, this is not how. could also be the more outward rebellion ofc, but i digress

This is true I have done the same and always feel terrible for it. I also been sheltered and my mom is super religious I take care of her and go to college because I love her. So its complicated.
