I just want to step out of that role for once. I don't know for sure that it can ever actually happen, but I wish it could."

@79 it sounds like you're neglecting your needs in order to provide for the group. Think about why that is. It sounds like you're building resentment, which will only continue to grow and drive you down to bitterness. Sure, helping others is a nice thing, but don't let it be done at your own cost. You're important. Remember that. Learn how to communicate assertively, set up boundaries and create a healthy environment where you can be truly happy. You deserve it ;)
