The best method to decisively fight depression it's to succeed in life

Therapy is great but I can be hard to find the right kind for you. I tried tons of different therapist and kinds of therapy until I found the one that saved my life. For me, going to equine therapy is what I needed, and getting a therapy horse.

I would like to go regularly but I'm afraid of falling into a rabbit hole of "professionals" that cannot relate and wouldn't be able to help. Not to discourage anyone from seeking help. It's just not viable without unlimited resources for everyone to get the mental help they need.

humans shape their own identity by looking at themselves through the eyes of others. If you isolate yourself, shut yourself out from others, there is only you. Anxiety and fear creeps in and you can lose track of who you really are, which will cause anybody to become depressed. To anybody suffering from depression I would recommend finding something you like that other people would like and go out there and try it out. If you don't know yourself you can't really say what you like and don't like. Once you discover and accept yourself you can lift yourself out of depression. In my late teens and early 20s I was extremely depressed and full of bitterness towards others who were different than me. I scoffed at the idea of some therapist trying to pick my brain and tell me what to do to feel better. I couldn't trust anybody, much less a therapist. This was my line of thinking. I couldn't accept myself because I was so different than others. I hated myself for being different. However, I was able to accept that being different from others is a good thing. People should be praised for their differences. Yeah, I'll never be like 98% of the population, but the way I see it now, 98% of the population can't be like me. To go off of what Shoniya said, anybody can find one thing and practice at it to the point where they are better at that one thing than most people around them. You can build on a sliver of confidence that will eventually grow into love of oneself. Joining a group that does physical activities is a great way to build camaraderie. Something about adrenaline being released, yadayadayada...I dunno. My advice on how I got over depression might help someone out there :P

I heard that motivation helps a lot to get rid of depression. But not everyone can find the strength to deal with depression. I had a similar experience. Luckily my friend showed me the site https://us.calmerry.com/anxiety-therapy/ and I learned about anxiety therapy and how to deal with stress. I think that it is worth using all methods to get rid of this difficult condition if you cannot cope up by yourself.
