Not increased taxes, dumb dumb... Also, I'd take a slight increase later for a boost now. Even more so if I was forced not to work.

Pretty sure you'll pay taxes on it at the end of the year.. its considered income.

I wonder how that works for government officials who have literally been paid up until now. Do they also get a boost too?

Over a certain threshold you get much less(if any). I mean, I did post the IRS website and it does have info.
