Coronavirus. Your thoughts? [Serious and Non-Serious]

I just wanna go on vacation bro. I would have been chilling on a beach somewhere like a freaking 4 months ago. Instead im at home STILL planning cuz its the only thing that helps me cope

I miss being able to go outside just because. When I feel like shit, one thing that helps me is going out and about in town. Window shop, people watch, reading in my favorite book store... now I can’t do that. I mean where I am right now, I could.. but I’d feel horrible for doing it as I don’t want to endanger others.

i remember back in like February-march around when this all originally started, i promised my friend we'd go air softing when all this was over... but its been like almost a full year and its still not over... :/

@mea-chan I’m definitely 100% opposite that thought process. I’m just amazed at the level of suspension of disbelief and selfishness displayed by people through this pandemic that is still happening and will be happening. I sympathize with the fatigue, I do, but I do not understand how people can decide the benefits are worth potentially dying/killing someone over

i see your point, but i still believe it isn't fair to just tell someone "no, you're not allowed to see your family" just because you're scared of contracting a virus... to be fair, if your going to visit relatives what are the steps you'll take to go there? first you'll be in a car, heading to the airport. why would you be at an airport if not to travel? the people who would be getting the virus there are all making the same mistake. then you'll be on a plane, which again, all the same type of people, plus you're wearing a mask the whole way through. then you'll get off at yet another airport, and probably get picked up by family. i don't see how anyone who has your mindset would be at an airport or on a plane anyways... plus you'll probably be at home with your family the whole time. so i don't understand. everyone has already lost a full year due to this virus and has been waiting patiently for it to end while it doesn't seem like there's an end in sight. i dont see it being fair to say "no! celebrate Christmas, or whatever you may celebrate by yourself. even though you already just spent the whole year alone." some people may be OK with that, but other people, not so much. for all you know, some people may be going to visit elderly grandparents and who knows... they could pass away before its over and then you'll never get to see them again. i think people need to be a little more considerate. we're not asking for much, just one trip to see our family for the holidays. that's literally it.
