Jormungand

I marathoned the series recently after another user on MO brought it to my attention and fell in love with the cast. Taking place in an alternate "real" world with direct references to actual countries and modern wars I found the show rather bold. Being about a group of arms dealers and their trusted crew of bodyguard/mercenary/friends I enjoyed every episode! Violently action packed with a blend of tones from comedy to suspenseful drama, Jormungand is a wildly refreshing show to experience! That said the final episode was sorta neutral for me. The ending felt middle of the road. I didn't know what I wanted it to be but I can't help but feel meh about the actual resolution. https://mentero.es/wp-content/uploads/2018/10/jormungand-1067x475.jpg

well glad that you loved it too...

Koko's logic about sending the world technologically backwards to prevent future tragedy seemed extremely short sited. I agreed with her brother Kasper's logic that mankind would still find ways to war with each other even without modern conveniences.

hmm well a pretty easy way to understand the end is that she just became GOD...thanks to the quantum computer...so if she wants the war to end she can do it...well she at least made all large scale wars impossible to carry out...

Unless she is still able to use modern weapons to enforce peace in a Metal Gear Patriots type system I feel she can't be absolute in her victory. As a human she will age and die leaving the computer to be self reliant giving the possibility of a Skynet scenario that could involve machines wiping out all humans as a way of evoking permanent peace. Or she gets someone to take her place and hopes they follow her will.

think it was a great idea to control the skies cause she even sent the quantum computer to space with all those geo satellites...so in that current time, she has and controls all information anything small or big...so outsmarting her is definitely impossible...and for the successor of that power after she dies...i think may be jonah would be a good candidate...or I guess they can turn koko into an AI...everything after that is to fantasize

Haha, fanfiction time! Guess all anyone really needs to know is "that Koko she is loco I said oh no!" Loved hearing that song during the end of each episode!
