Oni-con Houston 2012

Anybody going? Anybody got a room? Cause i wanna go, but, between gas and entry, i probably wont' have enough to buy as much as i usually do.

I'm probably gonna attend again. I was disappointed it got moved to Galveston. Was gonna go last year but couldn't... sniff. I'm definitely gonna try to go for 2013.

That shouldn't be a problem. The hotels around there are all in my vacation price range. It sounds like you are apart of the committee Xueli?

Ahhh... I fall under a strange gray area where I'm not a staff head but I'm not a normal volunteer... I'm like that in most of the cons I work at

I helped out volunteering for the 1st Atsui-con... I think. It was near old man Bush Airport. I was helping runnin' the video game room. While I was on break I was in the hotel room I was allocated to stay with other people. I was lucky at the time I was in the room by myself and I tried to take a power nap. Well 5 random girls marched in and approached me at the bed. I was like "um... hello?" They informed me that the guy who was runnin' the con failed to pay for all the hotel rooms he reserved so I got screwed and got kicked out of the room. Ever since then I never volunteered again. Well, if I go to Oni-con I hope to see ya to say "hi".

Yeah, most cons nowadays don't really give out rooms for normal volunteers because of how expensive it would be. I'm usually a kind of guest/band relation, fix all the technical issues volunteer. I sometimes help out with the general volunteers depending on if I don't have anything else going. Most of my volunteering issues involve politics so I think the general volunteers have it easy :P But then again, I've never volunteered for Atsui-con
