Funny that it came out at about the time I would have been the same age as the original protagonist. Having similar withdrawn angst, feeling out of touch with the same boring world, having a way older brother who was out living his life while I just sputtered along with school life. Hell my brother even gave me my first guitar. Acoustic, but still. Reality is much stranger than fiction and this show helped me to see that and really enjoy my life. Anytime I get down I just think of Haruko and instantly I am blasting off like I'm a shooting star driving a Vespa scooter! She motivates me to be adventurous!
