It's safe to assume that if a person has cheated once they will cheat again. Going into a relationship with a cheater or someone who has cheated on you is just asking for heartache.

There's a lot that goes into this.
Like whether or not they can actually change.
I believe in second chances, so i'd like to say no.

Its the same as video games, cheaters never prosper.
The gamer motto I live by.

I don't believe that philosophy, as I am walking proof that it isn't always true. Granted, I was a kid when I was building a harem, but when I entered middle school I completed disbanded that and went for having only one girlfriend, and I've stuck with that since. Honestly I wish that I never even started building a harem as a kid, as I believe that is the source of all my bad luck since.

Ah yes, the true humble beginnings of an OG Pimp right der! Every man can relate to having a harem in Elementary school lol!!!
I'd get High School or College, but grade school man? Listen, I grew up next to a trailer park where the average 13 year-old was already going on 30. I still wasn't even thinking about women until at least like 14.
Guess they get younger every passing year, but I don't know man...

It's a maturity thing in my book. If you don't have the self-control to keep your urges and feelings in check, don't commit to a monogamous relationship that's only going to end up in heartache and ruin for both parties. The current western cultural narrative is that in order for you to seem "normal and happy", you have to have a relationship. In this age of social media and hook-up apps, it's getting more difficult to find someone who really shares those ideals of a truly committed and monogamous relationship. Many people will just enter a relationship because they see it's an easy path to sex and then don't really assess all the other pieces that come along with that commitment and after awhile will make bad choices that jeopardize it while not really realizing or (at a minimum) not caring about the consequences of their actions.
