Honestly I dont think it s over. Maybe they ll just make another protagonist and occassionally show ash fighting with the elite four or sth like that. Plus I doubt they d end such a money making franchise now
The shows still going on, from a small promo video, it's speculated that it's going to be across all the regions now. As well, there's a rumor it'll be a new protagonist.
