Roy in Binding Blade was a garbage Unit, you gotta baby him and feed him stat boosters. One playthrough on Hard Mode he only had 16 (without speedwings) Speed at level 14 Master Lord, RNG screwed me hard. I like him on Smash tho.

@garbage Problem with Roy is, on his game, he sucks... Literally there's nothing you can do with him. If you train him too much early on, he caps his level and then becomes useless as you cannot use him too much due to the XP vacuum, he promotes literally at the end of the game and is given a weapon to auto-win the game. It's like Julia with Narga. Almost the same circumstances really. His supports aren't that good either, I mean he's a cool looking character but compared to Eliwood he falls way too short

Jugdral is easily the most explored, lore rich and engaging story wise Fire Emblem up to date, I haven't checked Three houses but from what I saw it didn't seemed to amount to much outside of Gameplay. Problem with the fans is, most argue there's nothing better than it, from a story-approach this is true... The only ones that come close would be Shadows of Valentia, Thracia 776 (and its also Jugdral) or Radiant Dawn. Gameplay wise, FE4 it's a bit on the difficult side, maps are huge, boring and taxes your mind to clear them in one go, you gotta study a bit the pairings and supports to make it go smoothly or else you screw up and need to restart from the beginning, the classes are a bit messy and many units are totally useless if they have no holy blood. Story wise, its filled with politics, an extreme amount of them, conspiracies, genocides and incest, so it's not gonna be good for everyone. It's an amazing game and easily the best Fire Emblem as a whole package but there's many other games out there that excel on specific categories. Fates has the best gameplay of any fire emblem up to date. Save three houses since I haven't played it. Blazing sword it's the best for newcomers and has the most interesting difficulty scaling and progression. Path of radiance has the best mythological world and Radiant Dawn the best continuity. Shadow Dragon has some of the best flexibility since you can tune your characters around without making them gross like on Awakening Shadows of Valentia has the best soundtrack and one of the more steep difficulties on the harsher difficulties. Thracia is brutal. List goes on and on

Word of advice, ignore the "Elitist" Fans. While I love Jugdral and it being my favorite in the series, I also like the other games as well, Tellius after, though I don't like Fates (not cause I'm a old fan, due to story and other stuff), but I'm not an elitist. While the Jugdral series can be archaic, due to the time it was made, its a quintessential part to the series, introducing many elements to modern Fire Emblem. I.e Skills, Marriage, Children, Weapon Triangle. Yea the maps are and can be overwhelming, but they are unique and offer alot in map design and tell a story too. As you play your way through the entire continent. Swadian hit the nail on the head.
