@snake for the push ups the best way we learned how to do them to get better was to do what is called 1 by 3's take your max push up count cut it in 3 and do that number within a minute. The faster you do them the more time you get to rest before the next set. Another way if you are a strong minded individual like myself. You just push and keep pushing even if you dont want to SNAKE ITS TIME TO PUSH TEXAS TO THE OTHER SIDE OF THE WORLD get down there and do it

I like this premise! I've been trying to motivate myself to get back to working out regularly since I basically stopped almost completely over a year ago. I've flirted with getting back into a routine recently by doing 30 push ups, 40 sit ups, and 10 pull ups a few times a week... but that's nowhere close to what I was doing a couple years ago (and a "few" times a week tends to become "once" or "none") xD

My belly fat returned like a fucking Jedi, but I strangely feel like this thread could actually help motivate me to get back into a routine!
Also, for those that wanna strengthen and tone their core, I strongly recommend doing planks. A couple years ago when I was actually working out regularly, I incorporated planks into my routine and after doing 5 sets at 5 seconds each, I felt my gut and sides burn more than just about anything else I was doing.

Just keep your back straight and lift an arm and opposite side leg, hold it for around 5 seconds, then switch sides. The first few sets can seem easy, but once you hit the 4th and 5th set, you will feel the burn!

@Panda Yeah I learned about those too, but I just lost the will to do anything before. I will change that and get back and even further in progress than I was before. No regrets!

This is really good motivation, making it a group thing. I've started working out to try and put on weight and muscle, but a rest day quickly turned in to a week, followed by trying out differemt stuff here and there. This makes me want get back in to it properly!

Worked out with my mum... never thought I'd be here in life. She even held my feet for me. She seems to be highly invested in this now too. Never knew she was interested in this stuff. She even bought some weights for us. Its funny.
