Generally the best fields to apply are areas with high demand and turnover if you need a job fast. Additionally, you could get warehouse work pretty easily in their peak season. (Fall and winter.)
As for me, I generally suck at the part where I have to tell people why they want to hire me. (Interviewing.) And I'm much better at showing it. So I generally try to get into jobs through temp agencies.
If you want higher paying stuff, build up your skills and move to areas that have those jobs in abundance. Getting to know the right people helps a lot too.

It's not what you know, it's who you knows. People keep telling me that, but I wish it was one of the first thing they told me. If you are asked "why would I hire you and not someone else", don't be like me, don't be modest and don't say "everyone virtually have the same odds, I don't think I'm better than anyone else". Tell something you do well and be confident about it. Seriously.

Another thing to add is the will to keep learning and adapt. Graduating Highschool/College does not mean education ends there. Any job you get, you learn new skills from there and carry it on to your next career path and learn new skills again. Also, depending on your job, certifications are important. It would help validate your skills to the employers.
On my spare time, I enroll onto those cheap "online" courses to learn new skills that's outside of my degree/profession.

Put in applications, have a halfway decent resume, make some follow up calls, dress well for interviews, speak positively about yourself and how you can help said company. Interviewing sucks but a lot of the time it's just doing enough to get your foot in the door.

Look up any upcoming local job fairs. Apply at a good physical job to keep your body feeling good. Do it little by little as a part-time job.
What types of physical jobs do you find interesting? Maybe some look shy-feeling at first, but may actually be more fun than you think.

@meisterman1986 The job fairs I'll have to keep in mind when I've actually been moved.
I don't mind physical jobs, and my previous work was very physical so I might look for something similar as a stop gap. I want to do something more meaningful though.

Finding an event calendar should help. If not, maybe LinkedIn or your favorite nearby places to stop by can help you get hired.
Meaningful as in based on your biggest passion?

I’m not reading the above cause tldr but I recommend you ask questions at the end of an interview. A good and ballsy one to ask is “is there any reason why I wouldn’t be qualified for this job”

Meaningful as in doing something more important? I don't see people buying useless junk as important, ya know?
