Character Planning in RPG's

nocturnalxassassin
So one of my favorite pastimes when I'm not slaying dragons, eating numerous cheese rolls to restore hp, saving the world, and otherwise just living another life in Skyrim is character planning. Not just any character planning mind you, I love to take it above and beyond and as a result I end up with documents like this. https://docs.google.com/document/d/1ChdJ23BJolgyr21gj-uIE0-qGisRgqRtiBFORJTFyxA/edit?usp=sharing If anyone would be kind enough to read what I've got there and give feedback it'd be greatly appreciated. I know I know, it's a lot seeing as to how some people don't care much for reading anymore so if need be do it in moderation :D Something else that would also be fun is if you guys took my template and then created your own background story/character sheet. While I did make this for Skyrim specifically, feel free to modify it to whatever game you fancy. This type of stuff excites me to no end and I love when I'm also able to read other peoples creations as well. Last but not least be sure to have fun with it ^o^

Seems good. Needs a bit of cleanup though, especially the 2nd paragraph which implies she reads 3 books almost every day before going to the blacksmith. Other than that minor fix, its a good template and the background is solid and grounded.

@Onizuka I appreciate the feedback, thanks a bunch. Always good to have another set of eyes reading your work ya know :D Just to confirm, when you say it needs cleanup, are you implying that the transition is a bit inconsistent or do you mean cleanup in terms of grammar/punctuation? Thank you, I'll for sure be using this for many other playthroughs. I'm glad it comes off that way to you, that's ultimately the goal here :)

Ya, just general grammar, punctuation, and sentence flow.

@Nocturnal Neko Nero This saying,"Zhara told both her parents one day that wearing hunks of metal isn't cute and that it’s impossible to remain stylish in them". I love it, this makes your character a little more fleshed out in flaws. I remember most of my main builds, would include a heavy armor type that drags the team's pace. Whenever they would tell him to remove a little piece. He'll be like, "are you mad or would you rather get me killed"? Making him a huge coward for wearing less heavy armor. >Your Zhara would go neck n' neck with a person like that. Making a fun duo dynamic.< I also like how your build is a fast stinger (good DPS rating), yet has the basics for a good survival. A lot of stingers are usually mainly focused for the kill, but your character is more well rounded. For example, you are minorly skilled on blacksmithing. Which means your good at making "cute" effective gear, that will go greatly in sync with your build. Such as using alteration spells like "Oakflesh". Especially how the good help of passing pilgrims, had been made possible to you to learn straight off the bat. It's a good build with a interesting story.

@bashful_hubris Ahahaha, I'm glad you love it. I try to give my characters some sort of personality that makes them unique from one another. Ahah I like it, sounds like your character had that unique bit of personality to him as well :3 And you're right it definitely would :o That'd make for some really amusing adventures throughout the land of Skyrim. Yup yup, that was the plan when creating Zhara, I wanted her to have other tools/skills she'd be able to use in her arsenal but at the same time, not anything she would have known nothing about. Being well rounded was also a necessity as I forgot to mention that I'm playing a modpack called Ultimate Skyrim that's based around another mod called Requiem. Requiem is a hardcore mod that pretty much takes everything you know about vanilla Skyrim and forces you to learn everything all over again. Combined with survival mods like iNeed and Frostfall, it makes for some really fun experiences. I guess it would be accurate to say it forces you to slow down and not rush through everything. Thank you for the feedback, you may have noticed at the end it said "Chapter I: The Wolf of Falkreath". I plan to add many more chapters throughout her journey until she reaches her goal. I'm undecided yet whether or not I'll weave being Dragonborn into her story since I'm playing with another mod that gives you the option to not be Dragonborn ^o^

I'm honestly interested in reading chapter two, from title alone it seems like it's going to be a whole lotta fun!
