What MMO do you play, and why?

FFXIV, it's the only MMO that legit has a story that's compelling and makes me want to keep up with it. Maximum I M M E R S I O N. It also just has great music and encounter design in general. Especially with Shadowbringers, I enjoyed the story more than I enjoyed the story of some single player RPGS I've played in the last few years. And that's saying a lot. It's legit probably the best experience in terms of MMOs right now, I'd highly recommend it if you want bang for your buck. It's also a game that's pretty kind to casual players in a way that doesn't dumb the game down or hold everyone else's hand. It's very easy to jump in and out without being left behind as there's not really any sections of the game that are just dead content or anything, and it's easy to catch back up with the pack if you fall behind between patches

World of Warcraft. I love to PvP. Have gotten bored of it recently but don't play many other MMO's because all my friends play wow. I've tried a handful of other ones but I get bored because there's nobody to play with.

FFXIV, I came as a WoW refugee and stayed because I'm just enjoying the class mechanics a lot more than I did in WoW and for the lovely community. (Fact: The only class I enjoy in WoW are Death Knights) It's also nice that I don't feel like I'm being manipulated to play longer than I actually want because I'm hoping for a piece of gear to titan forge and whatever other bullshit they think is good game design over at Blizzard. I also occasionally return to Old School Runescape and Ragnarok Online.
