What gamer type are you?

meisterman1985
Casual Gamer = Plays rarely and occassionally simple games such as Bejeweled, Solitare, Candy Crush Saga, etc. Hardcore Gamer = Extremely buys and plays the heck out of most highly-rated popular games and looks down on even possibly underrated obscure games. Tabletop Gamer = Not into video games, but board games other than ones from Milton Bradley, Parker Brothers, Hasbro, Ertl, etc. Import Gamer = Often into foreign games outside their native country, such as importing from Japan and Korea. Pro Gamer / Cyber Athlete = Often attempts world records, go to tournaments, etc. Research Gamer = Often "walking encyclopedia" of gaming history, trivia, etc.

I feel like another type should be added The Indie Gamer: plays games from small developers, but large ones too on occasion. Doesn't play 24/7 but definitely an active gamer. Sees games more as art and an experience than a time filler or competition.

@Popealope Maybe like AVGN? Who plays mostly awfully bad / very odd games.

I am probably more along the lines of an import gamer. Or a collector/researcher as well. I'm hardcore into obscure things as well. I've imported a lot of things over the years, (heck my sega saturn is Japan region... I have the white one) have some rare ports of games, and play everything I research. currently working on seeing the best way to play Black Onyx... really really old rpg. Hmmm makes me think of the rarest/most expensive thing I got my hands on.... Not anything super impressive... I do have the Dreamcast Broadband adapter(Japan import)... I do use it to go on private servers for PSO every now and then. I got it for a good deal.
