Should we be vetting accounts?

Doubt the mods would ever implement such a system. Had to deal with a girl lying to users about cutting herself, parents/relatives dying, and how their homeless, and no amount of reporting, contacting, or PMs made the mods care to look into the matter....so, when a mod says the solution is just to IGNORE trolls and proceed to not respond to complaints/reports users have, while its effective against trolls in the forums.....but trolls that lie to others users through PMs get basically no punishment unless they freak out publicly in forums or on walls...so, users are apparently supposed to just ignore people they don't know are a threat and are lying to toy with them, since they don't receive punishment unless its not in PMs and their profile name/picture seem normal....users like that usually only get banned after being reported by multiple victims when it was something that could have been cut off by the head with communication. So, from my perspective, its up to the community to handle such problems and talk/warn others through forums or getting in touch with people unless the trolls are braindead enough to openly threaten and harass people in the forums or users walls....THEN the mods will step in and suspend/ban those trolls once more than one person starts makes a ruckus on how its a problem, before they usually end up coming back before being banned again damn near a month later....and things like vetting takes time and money that the mods definitely won't invest in since this has been a problem for years on this damn site now. There have been plenty of questions in the forums about topics like this that at least try to provide solutions...and they always get ignored or pushed aside. That's just my perspective though, as someone whose seen a few number of users here become discouraged or straight up leave due to being abused by liars, trolls, and psychopaths who aren't suspended, banned, or punished with haste over the years.
