@Lamby Well... *cough cough*.... I just imagined you at one of those professional pokemon competitions spouting this nonsense and ... it'd be a funny sight to see. I think more than one person will come up to you and curse you out. You are destroying kids dreams by neglecting the pokemon that came after. If we only had 1st gen, pokemon would be worse than trash. It'd just be an after-thought. Only successful franchises are able to keep going. Although I can't say I always enjoy each new generation of pokemon. As long as they keep going with new versions and enhancements, that means pokemon isn't a dying breed. If pokemon never made it to gen 2, would you honestly say that you still remembered it? Would you even know what pokemon was? If you prefer just the first gen, then I would direct you to the myth that Ash is in a coma and dreaming all of pokemon. I only really liked gen 1 and gen 2. You know... back when the game was about exploring the region... with minor hand-holding... No major story, no overdone saving the world plot. when capturing legendary pokemon could actually be challenging (like in gen 1 when the pokeball could actually MISS) Can't tell you how many times I have gone back to play those. Darn kids with their newfangled weird pokemans, but in my day pokemans were real pokemans not weird pokemans. bring us back our bulbachus and charamanchus and squirtchus. None of this island challenge junk. And what happened to battles? Who needs a catching simulator that gives us arthritis ridden peeps problems? Darn kids and their newfangled weird pokemans.

My favourite pokemon is Zorua, especially shiny Zorua. I remember catching him through countless hours of chaining in Pokemon Omega Ruby.
