Should you relate/date someone who's religion is different than yours?

meisterman1985
I feel it as a bit tricky, but a regular friend told me there is even hybrid-religions (e.g. Buddhist Christians). Any advice or thoughts?

I mean at the end of the day it's more of the person that matters than their beliefs. Then again their beliefs might shape who they are. Idk, I know religion doesn't really matter to me when dating, but that's not how everyone thinks.

It would matter to me about someone religion is but some religions the people who have them they can't date outside they race or can't date before, being married that what i have heard idk if it's true or not but at this point i be luck if anyone would date me.

im catholic and my bf is protestant, and if you know anything about the history between the two groups, youd understand why the two arent simply 'christians' that being said, i dont really care as he isn't practicing. his parents did give me a funny look when i put a crucifix over the door of our apartment, but thats the extent. he's really nice in that he doesnt really care either way, and is really supportive of my religion (not minding me putting up crucifixes) it is fun as well to tease him on being an unbaptized heathen, though if they are tolerant of me, i will be tolerant of them, but i would never convert im a bad catholic but im still a catholic

Zero impact on my dating preferences, but there are people who's religious beliefs are important enough that they would like to share it with someone else.

Steven Hawking's first wife of 30 years was a strong catholic compared to his strong Atheism.

It depends on how the religion affects you and your relationship with them.

As long as they aren't trying to change me. I'm not religious at all since it isn't real, but I am not pushing that on anyone.

I agree w/ the general census. As long as your SO doesn't mind and trying to convert you, it's fine.
