The better hypothetical you could have used would be "If you knew that petri dish grew up to be a baby and that baby murdered the woman, then would you save the woman or the baby" that would take longer to think on.

Who made the rules for that?! If I lose my arms I got teeth to carry the woman out by if I lose my leg I can crawl with them out. Science should be at the point it could save both the mother and child.

The baby then because the woman (I would never choose this unless this "you have to choose one" universe did exist) lived her life (nothing against women or mom's) and the baby may not be conscience yet but soon will be able to experience the world. I couldnt normally make that choice. I love my mom so much and she was in a life or death situation. She chose to save me even tho so was not self aware yet. So I'm making the same choice she would.
