hostility doesnt equal a reason to fear for your life if someone runs at a police officer with there fist raised that is a direct act of hostility but he cant kill him

you as a citizen also cant kill someone for raising there fist to you you can react with reciprocatory force, but that's all, you cant go beyond how they threatened you to defend yourself
