In all honesty though, if you want to see this on a small scale, there are some lawmakers here in Ohio who are trying to make abortion punishable by death in the state. Whatever your stance on abortion, that's just... Not something the developed world should ever dabble in. Right or left, doesn't matter. Authoritarians are scary. Especially in modern regimes.

I heard about this when it was just a thought experiment by the Chinese Gov. Shit's crazy. Also, Choco. To be fair, While I don't agree with it. It all depends on if you believe in the death penalty. If you don't than it's an obvious why you're a No to it. But if you are, than, it's a more 'understandable' position. Life for a life and all that. That said, let's not get into other politics, don't want to derail the thread. Authoritarian Governments are always shitty.

One month, a friend of mine did ask me questions about China's social credit system. Even the government admits that the social credit system is under construction which actually means it doesn't exist...

Oh, I think I have heard of this sort of thing. Russia prints a fake story in another country about another country to create plausible deniability, then the story spreads, and gets treated as actual news, and thus missinfo spreads, undermining people's faith in a political system, or in a nation's alliances.
