It's so many things combined, I'm sure. However, whatever the causes, it's the people at risk, dead and those risking their lives that are the real important factors. We can figure out the rest later.

It's never a single cause with these things. And if an answer seems watered down and simplified, odds are, its being used for the sake of political theater. Which is why its hard to conclude what it actually is right now. Strong wind, lack of humidity, level of yearly snow fall and rain fall, density of vegetation, climate change, human activity, they're always variables in the equation. 50 confirmed deaths as of 5:50pm. Absolutely insane what’s going on out there. I hope anyone on MO from that area was able to evacuate safely.

I know there were over one hundred still missing, too. At this point, donate to charities that are helping out there, they'll need every penny they can get.

A lot of those missing were elderly it seems. They’re often overlooked, but firefighters really are some of the most badass people out there. Hopefully some rain comes in and helps them out.
