Online people a either really good or really bad. Like you got people who can do combos and then people who are spamming one good thing but once you figure out that they’re mashing they’re bad.
No inbetweens like one dude was terrible but then I joined a new lobby those people were terrible then after that some guy playing Xianghua was like doing massive crazy optimal stuff it was scary

I actually believe Azwel and Astaroth will climb the tier list tbh. Seong Mina might stay stagnant. Some of the placing I think are fair though groh has a lot of unsafe stuff and voldo I believe could go up if people weren’t so disgusted by him to play him. Everyone in this game feels pretty good tbh
I watched Sonicfox play Azwel and I can only imagine what he’ll be like in the future with enough labbing along with some of the other characters like Geralt.
So excited for an SC game in the fight scene again

That sounds like basically online for every fighting game. Hell, I still run into that type of stuff in like the platinum+ range in Street Fighter 5 ranked. So many DP-mashing online warriors who honestly make me question how they made it so far playing like that :u

Not every game is like that some games legit you cannot mash with out getting punished or pressing buttons Tekken 7 KOF14 BladeStrangers etc.
Not saying there isn’t a way to mash but someone who has a basic understanding will legit murder you.
Unlike BBTAG and DBFZ
But ofc at the higher level play it goes away in those games just the early level play is maximum spam cancer.
Will never be as bad as smash 4 levels of spam though I don’t think a game tops that frustration that’s current rightnow that is out

I'm not saying you can't get punished but that there's always going to be a large amount of people who literally don't care about punish mechanics for pressing buttons. Literally every fighting game has a mechanic that punishes people who try to mash. Not saying it will work but yeah, it's pretty common. Like hell, street fighter 5 has one of the most devastating mechanics when it comes to punishing unsafe play. whiffed reversals = crush counter which usually leads to a full combo along with a shit ton of stun damage so if you try to mash even more after that you're more than likely going to just get completely blown up
Ehhh, I'd say someone who has a basic understanding of how 2D fighters work would still just dunk on someone mashing in BBTAG or DBFZ. That was basically day one BBTAG for me

To reiterate, the training mode is trash to me cuz of the two reasons I stated. To be forced to pause the game, go to the command menu, cycle to one move, and the unpause the game JUST to test out ONE move is asinine. It's needlessly cumbersome. In Virtua Fighter and Dead or Alive (idk about tekken) you start the command move training mode and can freely work on EVERY move for a character in succession without having to pause the game and cycle through a menu. The command is shown at the top of the screen, and once you enter the command correctly, it automatically moves to the next move. If I choose to keep working on the same one, I'm free to do that, then I'm free to move on to the next set without ever having to pause the game to go to the command menu.
The fact that someone is claiming frame data isn't gonna do much in a 3d fighting game is laughable. In the 2-3 years of playing Dead or Alive, I've literally ran into hundreds of players that talk about how frame data isn't necessary cuz it's all about just feeling the game out. These players WILL get steamrolled by any player proficient in frame data. After running through these players in lobbies, most send hatemail afterwards accusing me of cheating (among other things), but I've legit had dozens upon dozens then msg me asking me to teach them how to utilize frame data. I've lost count how many players I've trained in DOA.
There's always two signs to tell when someone is a casual... they don't think frame data matters, and/or they don't think online latency affects the game. Not saying there's anything wrong with being a casual. I'm likely just gonna be a casual in SC6 cuz I don't have the time to dedicate to learning it properly. Just saying that's how you can identify one xD

Also, 無名 is absolutely correct. To say there's good and bad players online can be said about any game online xD And every game punishes unsafe moves. In 3d fighting games, it's called knowing frame data.

No I meant some games are harder against sparky punish unsafe noobs like Anti noob like Fighting EX layer. Wasn’t talking about there’s good or bad just some reward more bad play then others at the basic level.
