Using FaceBook: Yay or Nay?

No invitations to this social website allowed. This is to discuss if you like or dislike using it and why. First start, in my opinion, I at first was begged by my family to join it during its popularity boom. I even was begged to join MySpace earlier, but didn't use that as much as FaceBook. Nowadays, I dislike these generally social websites because... Things making me lose interest in FaceBook: * Being told to watch what I post on there by relatives or get ordered to delete/remove them. Even recently, my father warns me readers could become misconstrued. * Scammers and fake FaceBook accounts. (Instagram owned by the same company is the same way.) * FaceBook Messenger messages from users in my friend list at unwanted times, especially with the annoying pop-up circles. * Encountering posts showing things I am too sensative to view. * Huge lack of friends near my age positively interacting with my posts compared to mostly elderly women interacting with my posts whether they are fitting to them or not. * If I delete my account, then no chance of contacting some users exclusive there, but some others are found elsewhere such as Twitter and some chatting apps other than FaceBook Messenger, such as WhatsApp (owned by FaceBook) or simply SMS internal texting preloaded to phones. I prefer LINE, it's popular in 80% of Japan. MaiOtaku is also more enjoyable. What are your thoughts on FaceBook?

I use Facebook. I don't think it is that different from other chat programs/social media XD...Using Facebook is also a good way to know my brilliant acquaintances' personal achievements XD..

I have one but i really don't use it anymore. in fact I'm gonna delete it end of the year. it just seems pointless people getting in other peoples business

Unlike many highly introverted people, I have had accounts on many social websites(I don't use many of them any more)...:P...since 2012..Curiosity about the outside world,thrist for new information drive me to create those accounts.I even didn't take practicing English into account(many compatriots use those websites to find language partners...) ...GREATFIREWALL..I DISLIKE IT I make my Chinese social media invisible to all relatives.

I just have a Facebook since some of my friends message me from there. I don't really understand people wanting everyone to know everything they are doing, and most of the people I see are there are always attention seeking. I don't bother looking at the feeds or anything. I just go into a few groups I'm in and the messenger.

I only use it to message friends, I only watch my closest friends, everything else is just horrible. it's filled with fake news and egocentric people fighting each other. You can't even have fun there.
