Why do some people take pictures of the food their eating?

Sometimes I just find it fun to sort of document my meals, whether it's something I made and want to share or something out of the ordinary for me. Best example I can think of is when I went to Japan, I took pictures of almost all my meals not only to share with friends, but to help remember all the awesome food I tried.

I wonder how many in times long gone, made paintings of thier food instead? #gonnamakeeveryonejellythatihadamealtoday

To bitter people, all good things their contacts post are intentionally offensive...Many people take and post those pictures just to have those moments recorded, to share their happiness with other people..
