if we are reallllly close and they have the ability to fix it then yes i tell them. if someone else is talking shit i'll kill them 3':< (jk maybe) but i won't tell them unless it's someone they know personally. ex) if its some random person i wont really mention it to my friend because random peeps dont matter but if its someone they know then i'll first talk to the person to see if what they said was a misunderstanding or something they just said in the heat of the moment if it was i wont say anything but if it was malicious i'd tell my buddy

Knowing the truth is more important than ignorance, even if it's painful. I'd tell them in a discreetly manner always. :) ( then again, i don't have that many irl friends LOL )

I will definitely tell them in a tactful way. On my way to Shanghai, I was reading a book about communication skills...I agree that nonviolent communication is truly important..I simply have one irl friend lol, I'd rather not have many irl "friends", she is open-minded enough to take in logical criticism heh.

I think you have to tell them. Any good friendship is based on open communication. Even if that means they never talk to you again. If they stick with you then that's awesome. Funny enough, I'm dealing with a similar problem, and I've decided to tell them. They deserve to know the truth.

To be honest I don't understand my friends, sometimes they support me and other times they're just flat out annoying and obnoxious they don't even hang out with me outside of school I've been stuck in this way of confusion for a while now and I've tried to deviate away from that specific friend group but I find that doing that is extremely difficult as I can't find any new friends in school because of the fact that there are no people in my year group and such.

I usually tell them if something bothers me enough. I used to be pretty bad about not wanting to confront others about stuff because I got pretty worried about possibly upsetting the person

I think the "level" of friendship you have with other people is important. For really close friends I would definitely tell them as a way to help them improve. Friends who I am not close with, probably not unless the thing I wanted to comment on was really self destructive.
