Your Opinion on Feminism

I appreciate your candor even if I do not agree with all of the implications I drew from your statements Taiyou. I think that, even if you feel powerful emotions, cooler minds will prevail as long as you try to be civil. It's important that you don't put words in someone's mouth to support your own position and instead listen, respect, and speak not against the person but their argument.

@ burning halo yes, performing a strawman or pulling any one of the ad hominem fallacies is rather disrespectful and a cheap way of attempting to hurt the data by inadvertently attacking the person's character. Stalin is bad so there for his claim that 2 + 2 = 4 cannot be right.

@ megitsune (she/her) I and it seems many here do not mean harm or want to be mean. If anything the people that I have seen have tried to be nice even when deconstructing your argument. This should mean something to you as they're willing to tell you how they feel about your idea and view. There also taking time to read your post and formulate their opinion of it. People that don't care about you or your ideas wouldn't do that. They would attack you and they wouldn't even read into your view. Hell, I wouldn't have gone and dug up a blog from someone in the feminist ideology that I saw years ago just to back up that your ideas are based on a view shared within the feminist group. The people here that are really taking in your words are the ones that care. I care and if these things really hurt you then don't interact here. Interact with the other topics and view things that make you happy. However, I feel you can grow stronger and better if you see this through. You can do this on your own time and pace as you don't need to prove anything to anyone here. As far as I can tell the argument is over but you can still look into these things and try to grow. Just know that your ideas are not you and they do not define you. So if someone deconstructs or pokes holes in your idea that only means that your idea had flaws but that doesn't make you inherently flawed.
