Why is it that it has to be ripped out without a replacement system though? It seems like everyone has this ultimatum thought process, you can either have health care or no health care, you can have welfare or no welfare, DACA or no DACA. maybe DACA isn't the best way to help children who were raised in the US illegally, but instead of just killing DACA we should extend it until we find a replacement for it. Same with every other system in the US that hasn't changed in so many years.

"Getting rid of DACA or letting it expire doesn't imply that a replacement shouldn't be considered" You're right, but it has expired and an extension has been outright denied and i don't believe a replacement has been considered. Also I can understand why people don't like DACA, but its not the fault of the people who it affects. They were children when they came here. I can only imagine they feel like they live in a dystopian world, not knowing whether or not they're going to be deported from their homes to a place they know nothing about and have nothing waiting for them on the other side.

I mean I definitely could understand why there's people who believe that DACA is a poor system that needs to go. Like any financial/housing assistance system, there's going to be people abuse it just like welfare. I can agree that a lot of people take getting rid of it with a sensationalized view such as whoever wants to get rid of it is a racist or xenophobe. But I mean, with recent events it's kind of hard to touch this subject without being painted as a racist xenophobe...since there's actual racist xenophobes who ARE very vocal about it, there's also just regular people who see a system that's abused. It's a really sensitive topic that gives anyone who's on the opposing side of DACA the unbridled hatred of humanitarians.

I agree that DACA illegals need to go, and really I don't agree with a replacement system. I feel like that's spitting in the faces of those who worked through the process and came here legally. I don't have problems with most legal immigrants (just ones that come here and attempt to change our way of life), but I have a ton of problems with illegal immigrants. I don't really care about the age they were when their parents made them break the law. Life isn't fair nor is it easy. There's the end of the line, they can find it and wait like everyone else. I don't blame the kids; I blame the parents. Still, what are we showing the future generations if we just let them stay after breaking the law and stepping in front of the line of all the legal applicants? What's wrong with sending them back to their home country so they can use the education and skills they learned on our dime to change their country into what they want it to be? You see, that's how you keep 3rd world countries in their sorry states. When all their intelligent citizens come here to stay there's no one left there to innovate and advance society. It's killing Mexico just as much as it's killing us.
