This kind of shit is pretty disgusting. She chose to give nudes on her own will so there is no need for any attacks. She have nothing to do with their lives so why bother. Then again, 4Chan is just some shithole of the Internet. Hopefully, the individual can move on somehow.

I get where you're coming from, honestly. But these guys are cockroaches. You kill one, 10 more pop up. They're broken morally lost people. Fighting them is like trying to fight racism. It exists and probably always will. But that doesn't mean I think we shouldn't try to fight it. 4chan is a pretty lawless place as far as i'm aware. It doesn't really matter what you say or do there. That gives them all the power they need to do what they like to do.

To be honest though without anonymity of the internet, none of these dudes would have the balls to do stuff like this. They'd just stick to themselves and keep their heads down, murmuring about how women are sluts among themselves. The internet is sadly an outlet for these types. :/ It's just like how there's rarely any people who spew racist rhetoric who actually have the audacity to repeat themselves in front of the minorities they hate so much, they prefer to keep to their echo chambers because they know that they'd be torn to bits because their views are NOT accepted as the truth by most sane people.

besides, the main topic on here is slut shaming the 4chan case was showing how ridiculous slutshaming has become and the extent people take it

Well yeah, like it or not, the internet brings out the good, the bad, and the ugly. Whether or not you like what you see is irrelevant. It's going to happen regardless.

Lamby's right, as I mentioned before 4chan isn't really the 'source of all darkness on the internet' that a lot of people seem to think. There's plenty of other places that have the same type of shit going on, I've seen slutshaming happen all across the internet from anime/video game fandom forums to chatting in MMORPGs to even shit like yahoo answers on questions where people are looking for relationship advice. Again, having anonymity makes stuff like this more prevalent. :v

You're right, its horrible and we need to do more about it, because its not harmless fun. Its not just school yard bullying or boys being boys, and its hurting people. So you're absolutely justified in being angry about it.

If a girl is a slut, she should be able to live her life as a slut. Without anyone attacking her for it. Except maybe if she is not up-front about it and betrays someone, but that matter can be resolved without a torch-wielding mob. If a girl sent nudes, they are with another person. That person is the breaking point when it comes to trust and security. If they misuse that trust, they are to be made responsible for it. Same goes if a guy sends nudes to someone else, just to clarify. xD I bet the people who slutshame someone over the internet have sent nudes to someone else themselves before. They are completely injustified. Pushing people to suicide over it makes it even worse. Personally I don't see how someone can become that messed up. Lastly getting those people to justice is an issue, because people who dox another individual over the internet usually know einough to at least be using a proxy while doing it. So finding them is hard or impossible. I don't see a way of pursuing them legally.
