this bitch taylor nicole dean bought a Spider ball python (she says she adopted it but thats a fucking lie) they are, ugh, very sad, sad snakes they have very pretty morphs, and are in general very beautiful snakes https://pm1.narvii.com/6884/eaae62c819299e128f679293b7db38a0177fa06br1-1500-1438v2_hq.jpg but, to get these morphs, they ended up being bred in a way that nearly all of them have neurological issues like when they slither, they can turn around on their backs (which a snake would never do otherwise because it makes them extremely vulnerable) and have a thing called Wobble where theyr head bobs up and down uncontrollably taylors snake was doing something called "star gazing" https://i.imgur.com/aMqKWHS.jpg?1 as i stared previously, a snake does not want to be upside down, this is a neurological issue that they can not control now, im no reptile expert nor am i even a novice iv never owned snakes nor do i plan to taylor on the other hand has owned snakes for years and has called herself a "reptile expert" the fact that 1. she would promote a snake that is born with neurological issues that can cause them to starve to death because they cant even properly strike at their food 2. not even know about the symptoms of "Wobble" which is what that breed is known best for 3. think that her animals debility was a cute and quirky thing is fucking disgusting not only should spider pythons be illegal, but shes acting like its some cute quirky behavior that is "lel so cute" when her animal is fucking suffering she is such fucking scum she should be arrested (shes notorious for neglecting her animals as well as being an attention seeking victim whore)

Wow, that's awful, though not the first instance where there's been selective breeding to make animals cuter at the expense of their health. I know this is a persistent problem with bulldogs, but what you've described with these pythons seem a lot more detrimental.

@lamby tbh i get the argument ur trying to make here, yes it could be a very serious issue for the snake. But what does her buying the snake have to do with anything? Like the snake is alive whether she bought it or someone else bought it, its alive. Its not like she went out of her way yo purposefully breed this kind of snake. The animal may be suffering from some neurological issue but what do you want her to do? Kill it? This kind of snake will exist and continue to exist whether she bought it or not. Even if no one supported it, what is to stop breeders from still breeding this sort of snake?

Now as an animal expert she could be wrong for thinking that issue is "cute" but if she genuinely has no idea that exists then she cant be in the wrong

Dogs and the like are bred in a certain way that is bad for their health, shoot even humans in the past have also done things that were bad for their health i.e foot bindings, elongated heads, etc. Its just something that happens, maybe after time this species of snake will evolve and make it possible to avoid these neurological issues.

@Panda-kun I think the issue is that she is a supposed reptile expert, and I'd imagine most self-proclaimed or certified experts would recognize this as an issue. It's not that her purchasing the snake makes any difference in the breeding of these snakes, since it was bred and on the market already. Rather, that she displayed a lack of knowledge about the python's health issues, therefore trivializing it despite being someone who is supposed to know better. I imagine that, given the above information about the python breed is true, other experts would chime against the practice.

its promoting the breeding of genetically defective animals, and then showing said defective animal off to her followers, promoting it even further and though wobble does differ from snake to snake (i believe some have very very mild symptoms to the point it doesn't affect their lives) those who suffer from it to the point of tipping i think do need to be put down. thats no way to live. breeding should be made illegal and the snakes should be put down to hopefully end the line entirely if this was infact an adoption (it fucking wasnt shes a bad liar) then she should 1. know enough about the species to be able to identify Wobble 2. warn her followers against the breed, telling them not to go out and buy them 3. not making her animals suffering into a cute quirky trait people who buy this snake only do it because of their beautiful morphs, not because they care about the animals she loves to go on and on about how animals are her life and how shes a reptile expert and has owned snakes for years yet she makes dumb ass mistakes like these and refuses to actually do the proper thing and do research on the breed she has and also warn the public about them

Well yeah if she is a self proclaimed reptile expert, and comes out publicly saying this she should have done research. That i agree, and promoting the snake may make the underlying issue worse but that can be taken in both a positive and negative way. Negative being there is a bigger market for that animal, positive being more exposure that this issue exists therefore leading to more people wanting to possibly fix it. I agree in all sense she should have did her homework, but if she genuinely didnt know the snake has an issue she really cant be blamed for thinking it is cute Its sorta like a baby who walks funny, sure it looks cute and then after a while you figure out it might be something wrong. Im sure she will eventually figure it out and warn her audience

omg she ALWAYS DOES THAT i swear she does a quick google search of the animal and then spouts on her youtube vids (she has a million subs) how to take care of said animal, and her comments are flooded with "well actually" she fed her pacman toad nothing but pink mice, which should only be given as a treat, AND SHE WONDERS WHY HIS ANUS PROLAPSED AND HE DIED "lel was the breeder not me" fucking lying animal abuser is what she is the problem about exposing that theres an issue is shes playing that issue out as a cute quirk "my snek was layin on his back thats so cute what a dumdum" is soooo harmful i just have to disagree. she has a following and markets herself as an animal expert and has people who take her word on things because of how she markets herself. is this her followers flaw as well? yeah it is, they need to do the research and not rely on some girl from the internet, but it also doesnt make her any less culpable for how she portrays herself online. not to mention, pythons are exotic animals do NOT buy an exotic animal if you will not first do research into the breed as all breeds need different care and attention
