Growing Wings from the Dragongard series stands out among Square games. It is whimsical, eerie, dreadful, sad and off putting. It's made to make the player uncomfortable and uncertain, much like the stories of Dragongard and Neir. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A1gVwUDz0Ts&t=69s I would say Out of Phase form Parasite Eve also delivers as a good track, a product of Square's more experimental games during the late 90's after all the FF7 money flowed in. It mixes that typical JRPG feel with the growing vibes of than growing survival horror genre. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WL7_sBRE0T4 Than there is Ryu's Theme from CVS1, what I view as the best track to come out of the VS. games generation of Capcom. I know that's a big statement when it's in a same discography as "True Love we're Making", "MVC2 River Stage", "The Deep ~ Omaga Red Theme", all being products of the the more Jazzy, House and Hip Hop feel Capcom was going for at that time, but in CVS1's Ryu Theme you have the classic feel people love rolling into the new feel Capcom was aiming for, making what I feel is a stronger track the respect were it's coming from. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_cd8EhDDFEc
